Safely Roll Back a Zscaler Change
From the portal overview, we open the change history. The entry view shows whether reversals may run immediately or require approval under the four-eyes principle. The history can be filtered by time range, object type and change type. A changed URL rule, firewall rule or setting can be found without searching a long event list manually.
Demo run in our live demo with sample data. Times and steps come from the run shown, not a benchmark measurement.

In the field view, CentaurNexus compares the state before and after the change, showing exactly which field was changed, added or removed.
- 00:58
Only changes with a clear object reference and a secured prior state are deterministically reversible. If that basis is missing, CentaurNexus says so instead of pretending a rollback succeeded.
- 01:12
For a reversible change, Reverse starts the defined process. Depending on policy, it runs immediately or is submitted to an authorized second person for approval.
- 01:24
Reverted entries remain marked in the history. The audit trail is preserved even when the earlier state has been restored.
- 01:33
Administration shortens recovery after a faulty change. Security retains the four-eyes principle and accountability. Cause, change and reversal remain traceable in review.
- 01:43
Rollback becomes a controlled, documented operational process instead of a risky emergency measure.
